Aljezur is the westernmost municipality in the Algarve — a vast, largely unspoilt area of rugged cliff coastline, surf beaches and ancient rural landscape that falls within the protected Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina. It is one of the most remote and dramatic parts of Portugal, and increasingly one of the most sought-after by buyers looking to escape the overdeveloped resort coast in favour of somewhere genuinely wild and untouched.
